HS2 notice – M42 weekend closure – Junction 9 to Junction 10 – 05/09/25 to 08/09/25

We are going to be completing works on and around the Marston Box structure that passes over the M42 between junction 9 and 10. This will include resurfacing both Northbound and Southbound carriageways following works to carry out inspections on the structure and surrounding drainage. To carry out these works safely we will be installing a full closure of M42 motorway between junctions 9 and 10 from 8pm on 5 September to 5am on Monday 8 September.

Please see the attached document for additional information and for the proposed diversion route during this closure which will utilise A446, A38 and A5.

These works are still subject to consent by National Highways.

We will be providing an Advanced Works Notification (AWN) which we plan to distribute on 18 August to all stakeholders, as we wanted to provide your organisation with additional information to assist with your planning and logistical operations.
