Tackling speeding at school time
The Speed Indicator Devices have new messages in term time

The Parish Council has programmed the Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) at Leofric Close and Bradbury Lane to help protect the children arriving at and departing from Richard Crosse Primary School.
From now on, during term times the SIDs will alert drivers to slow down to 20mph between 08:30 to 09:00am and from 3:00 to 3:30pm.
- Above 30mph a “CHILDREN !” Message will flash up and the drivers speed indicated.
- Above 20mph and below 30 a “” SLOW 20!!” Message will flash up and the drivers speed indicated.
- Below 20mph just the drivers speed will be indicated. Sadly we are not able to flash up a Thank you! for these drivers but we do thank them all.
At all other times the normal messages will resume.
Villagers please help us by leading the way during these times – as no-one will be able to overtake you all following cars will have to follow your speed.
